The box office hit duo of actor Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to reunite for their next project. After producing the biggest blockbuster, Master
post lockdown, the actor-director duo will reportedly be collaborating for Thalapathy 66, i.e. Vijay's 66th film. A month after Master release (January 13), there were speculations that Vijay will be teaming up with Master director again for his next.
According to India Today
, Kanagaraj recently met Vijay at his residence in Chennai and narrated a script. The actor was impressed with the storyline and agreed to work with him again after completing Nelson's project, tentatively titled Thalapathy 65. An official announcement regarding Thalapathy 66 is expected to be made April.
It is also reported that Thalapathy 66 will be made on a mammoth budget and it will be a pan India release considering the huge fan following of the actor. The project will be bankrolled by Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studios.
Talking about Vijay's 65th film with director Nelson, the pre-production work is currently underway and shooting will begin soon, probably in April. It will be produced by Sun Pictures. While the official announcement is yet to be made, there are speculations that either Kiara Advani or Rashmika Mandanna will be paired opposite Vijay in his 65th film.
