Chennai, May 18 - Thalapathy Vijay has been shooting for director Lokesh Kanagraj's "Leo" since early this year. It is one of the most anticipated Indian movies and is expected to be one of the top-grosser of the year.

As "Leo" is getting ready to release this October, Thalapathy Vijay is already in the news for his next film, called "Thalapathy 68". There have been many rumors in the past regarding the director of T68. Some of the reports claimed that it would be with Atlee or Gopichand Malineni but now, it looks like none of them will get this big opportunity.



According to the latest reliable reports, Tamil director Venkat Prabhu has come on board to direct "Thalapathy 68" with AGS Cinemas coming on board to bankroll this mega-budgeted film. The reports have also claimed that the official announcement for the same will be made on May 21.

It is said that Venkat Prabhu recently narrated a one-liner to Thalapathy Vijay and the superstar was quite impressed with the idea as the project got confirmed a couple of days ago. Venkat Prabhu is reportedly working on the script and it will take some time to be ready. The shoot for the same is expected to kickstart later this year.
