Thalapathy 67: Sanjay Dutt To Lock Horns With Thalapathy Vijay In Lokesh Kanagaraj-Directorial

Chennai, September 12 - The blockbuster combo of Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to reunite for their second film together, tentatively titled Thalapathy 67. Touted to be a gangster drama film, the upcoming movie is scheduled to go on floors in October/November this year.

The the search for rest of the cast is on, the makers have reportedly roped in Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt to play one of the antagonist roles to lock horns with Thalapathy in the movie. Sanjay Dutt has been in demand in South Indian films after his role of Adheera in "KGF 2" got huge appreciation, and now, he is ready for his big South Indian film.



According to Pinkvilla, "The script demands the presence of multiple powerful villains and who better than Sanjay Dutt to play one of the many baddies in this yet untitled film. Lokesh has been in conversation with Sanjay Dutt for a while now and things have finally fallen in place. The actor is been paid a gigantic amount of Rs 10 crore to act in the film".

The report further states that "Thalapathy 67" will be a Pan India film and is eyeing Diwali 2023 release in multiple languages. Lokesh Kanagaraj's recent directorial, "Vikram" received appreciation from Hindi audiences, and the upcoming film could further strengthen his position in Hindi belts with solid support from the stardom of Thalapathy Vijay and Sanjay Dutt.

"Thalapathy 67" is believed to be the biggest film in both Vijay and Lokesh's careers and it will be boosted by the top-tier star cast from various industries.
