Thalapathy 67: Director Lokesh Kanagaraj Confirms His Next With Thalapathy Vijay

Chennai, May 22 - The "Master" combo of Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj is officially coming together again to thrill the audiences. Ever since the release of "Master" in January 2021, there have been many speculations about Thalapathy and Lokesh's next collaboration which has now been confirmed by the director himself.

During the Behindwoods Gold Medals awards show, Lokesh confirmed his next with Thalapathy, tentatively titled "Thalapathy 67". He is confirmed that it will be both a massy and classy movie that will cater to all types of audiences. The announcement regarding the movie will be made on Thalapathy Vijay's birthday on June 22nd.

"Master", which was the first major Indian movie to release in theaters during the covid-19 pandemic, was a blockbuster hit and it was then that Vijay alleged that he will work with Lokesh Kangaraj again.

Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for his next, "Thalapathy 66" under the direction of Vamshi Paidipally. It is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie that also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. It marks her maiden film with Thalapathy. Produced by Dil Raju, the movie is scheduled to release on Pongal 2023.

Lokesh Kanagaraj, on the other hand, is waiting for the release of "Vikram", starring legendary Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil in the leading roles with Suriya making a guest appearance. It is scheduled to release on June 3rd in multiple languages.
