Thalapathy 66: Director Vamshi Paidipally Gives Major Update On The Cast And Story Of Vijay-Starrer

Chennai, November 2 - Maharshi director, Vamshi Paidipally will be directing Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay for the first time in his next film. Tentatively titled "Thalapathy 66", the film will be produced by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.

Since the film announcement on September 26, there hasn't been much development on the rest of the cast and other details. However, in a recent media interaction, director Vamshi gave major updates about the cast and story of the film. He revealed that the upcoming film will be high on emotions with a touch of Thalapathy's stardom.



"My core strength is human relationships and emotions so, the film with Vijay sir will also have these two factors. I also penned the script keeping the stardom and the fanbase of Vijay sir in mind", said Vamshi.

There have been reports stating that some of the noted actors and a top-notch technical team will be associated with the project. Since there has been no official confirmation yet, Vamshi said that the updates regarding the same will be out from December before the regular shoot begins.

"All the updates will be out from December. We have just finalized the script work so, you will hear more from us by the end of this year", he added. He also praised Thalapathy for his simplicity and said, "He has reached great heights in Tamil cinema but remains humble. For him, the important criteria to begin a film is he should feel comfortable with the filmmaker.

Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for "Beast", which is being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Produced by Sun Pictures, the shoot is nearing its end and then the post-production work will begin. Also starring Pooja Hegde as the female lead, "Beast" will be released in Summer 2022.
