Sivakarthikeyan's Long-Awaited 'Doctor' Confirmed To Release In Theaters In October

Chennai, September 9, 2021: It's official now. Actor Sivakarthikeyan's long-awaited Tamil move, "Doctor", directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, has put rumours to rest and is confirmed to release in theatres in October this year.

Produced by Sivakarthikeyan's SK Productions in collaboration with Kotapadi J Rajesh's KJR Studios, there were reports claiming that "Doctor" will release directly on Disney Plus Hotstar, skipping theatrical release. However, the makers have now confirmed that there is no truth in rumours and that the medical action comedy film will release only in theatres.



KJR Studios took to Twitter and made the announcement with a new poster. "Set all the speculations aside. Get ready for your laughter shot! #Doctor is coming to the big screen in October 2021! This decision is only for the fans and our dearest theatre owners".

After numerous postponements and a lot of rumours due to the COVID-19 lockdown and theatres being shut, the film is all set to hit the screens in October as the theatres in Tamilnadu have opened. The film has Priyanka Arul Mohan playing the female lead. Vinay, Yogi Babu, Ilavarasu, and Arun play important roles in the film while Anirudh has composed music.
