Kamal Haasan in a recent interview with Galatta also revealed that the movie got the highest number of footfalls of all time in Tamil Nadu. The legendary actor said that the movie attracted 15 million (1.5 cr.) footfalls or tickets sold in Tamil Nadu, which is almost double what trade was expecting the film to achieve.

Produced by Kamal Haasan under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International, Vikram is the second highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time at the worldwide box office with approx. 410 crores gross collection. It is one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Indian cinema.
The film serves as the second installment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The plot follows a black-ops squad led by Agent Vikram, in which he aims against a drug syndicate group called Vetti Vagaiyara, led by Sandhanam, who wants the missing drugs to be delivered to his cold-blooded boss Rolex. It also stars Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi while Suriya features in a cameo role.
