Film Fraternity Mourns The Demise Of Tamil Actor Vivek Who Died At 59

Chennai, April 17, 2021, Renowned Tamil actor, Vivek who shared the screen space with Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith Kumar, and others, died due to a heart attack in a Chennai hospital in the early hours of Saturday. He was admitted to SIMS Hospital in Vadapalani where he underwent an angioplasty and stenting procedure on Friday for a complete block in a critical blood vessel of the heart. He was put on ECMO support in the intensive care unit.

The actor, who was 59 years old, made his debut in 1987 with Manathil Uruthi Vendum which also starred late S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. He worked on over 200 movies and all those movies were in the Tamil language. His last movie before his death was Dharala Prabhu which is the remake of the Hindi movie, Vicky Donor. Indian 2, which stars Kamal Haasan, will be Vivek's final appearance. The movie is currently under production.
