AK61: Ajith Kumar's Action Thriller With H Vinoth To Release In December This Year?

Chennai, June 21 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar has been shooting for his second film with director H Vinoth and according to the latest reports, the movie is getting ready for release later this year.

Produced by Boney Kapoor, the 61st film of Ajith Kumar was first reported to release on Diwali this year, but it will apparently be pushed to December this year. The shooting of the film is yet to be completed and it will reportedly be wrapped by July end.



There are a lot of releases on Diwali this year and it might not be appropriate for the makers to bring "AK61" to the festival. December too looks busy with multiple domestic and international tentpole movies, however, due to the lack of outright Tamil blockbuster, the makers are tempting to release "AK61" in the last month of the year.

"AK61" is touted to be another action thriller film billed on strong emotions. Interestingly, Ajith Kumar will be playing a negative role in the film after a long time. He has previously played negative roles in films like Billa, and Mankatha, among others.
