Los Angeles, April 19, 2021: Marvel Studios continuing its legacy of producing new superheroes to the world of cinema. On Monday, the studio has unveiled the teaser trailer and the first look poster of its first Asian superhero film, "Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings".
The teaser trailer of Shang-Chi was released on the birthday of Canadian actor Simu Liu, who plays the title role of superhero Shang-Chi, and the actor called it the best birthday ever. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the movie is scheduled to debut in theaters on September 3, 2021.

In the film, Shang-Chi must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization. The 25th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) co-stars Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh, Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, and Ronny Chieng.
A film based on Shang-Chi entered development in 2001, but work did not begin in earnest until December 2018 when David Callaham (Screenplay writer) was hired. Cretton joined in March 2019, with the project fast-tracked as Marvel's first film with an Asian lead.
In India, the film has been slated for release in six languages — English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
