Los Angeles, September 30 - Marvel Studios has made a big change in its upcoming Armor Wars project, starring Don Cheadle.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios' upcoming "Armor Wars", which was supposed to be a 6-episode series on Disney+, is now being developed as a feature film for theatrical release.
It is said that Marvel was committed to getting the story told the right way and in that process realized that a feature was better suited for the project. Don Cheadle, who is reprising his longtime Marvel Cinematic Universe role as Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes, AKA War Machine, remains on board to star.
The plans to make "Armor Wars" was first announced in December 2020 by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. The logo of the project was revealed during the D23 Expo last month. At that time, it was going to be a Disney Plus series, but now, the plans have been changed to make it an MCU theatrical release. The title may also get changed.
This is not the first time Marvel has changed the development of a title in this way. "Hawkeye" was originally supposed to be a feature film before the executive team decided to turn the idea into a Disney+ series, which was released last year.
