Marvel Finds Its She-Hulk In Canadian Actress Tatiana Maslany

Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany will play the lead role of She-Hulk in Disney+'s much talk about Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series She-Hulk, as reported by Deadline.

Best known for her Emmy-winning role in the science-fiction thriller TV series Orphan Black, Tatiana Maslany is also known for movies like Picture Day and Cas and Dylan. Jessica Gao, known for Rick and Morty, will serve as the lead writer on She-Hulk.



She-Hulk was announced in August last year at D23 Expo as part of three additional MCU TV series to be made for Disney+, the other two being Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight.

She-Hulk, also known as Jennifer Walters is the last major character to be co-created by Stan Lee. She-Hulk is Bruce Banner's (the original Hulk) cousin in the comics. An emergency blood transfusion from her cousin (Hulk) gives Walters her powers.

Like Hulk, She-Hulk is also a green, large superhero, but unlike Banner/Hulk, She-Hulk does not lose her temper and intelligence. Since she is a lawyer by profession, she also assists other superheroes in legal matters.



Maslany also becomes the latest female talent to lead a Marvel project following in the footsteps of Brie Larson in Captain Marvel and Scarlett Johansson in the upcoming Black Widow movie.

The series will be directed by Kat Coiro who has previously helmed TV series like "Modern Family", "Single Parents", "Alone Together", and many more.
