Mumbai, March 31 - The last two Avengers movies, "Avengers: Endgame", and "Avengers: Infinity War" together grossed over $4.8 billion at the worldwide box office. Those two movies were the culmination of many films and were the end of the Infinity Saga with "Endgame" went on to become the highest-grossing film of all time worldwide.

Marvel movies have always been a big-screen spectacle that guarantees wholesome entertainment. Considering the "Endgame" and "Infinity War" were the culmination of many Marvel films, many wonder how much those movies cost to make. There have been many reports about the budget of both the movies, but the fact is, those cost more than originally reported, and that is confirmed by the Avengers director Joe Russo.

During the Sands International Film Festival in St. Andrews, the director revealed that their back-to-back films cost $500 million each (via comic book). "I don't know if these numbers have ever been accurately reported but in the case of Avengers: Endgame or Infinity War, each of those movies was $500 million-plus. So this is an incredible amount of money that is being spent on these films".

The earlier reported budgets of both "Avengers: Endgame", and "Avengers: Infinity War" were $356 million and $325 million, respectively. The new budget, as revealed by the director, has made these movies the costliest films ever made. Earlier, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" was the costliest film with a budget of $379 million.

Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, "Avengers: Endgame" featured an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
