Box Office: Disney's 'Free Guy' Remains Solid To Cross $100M Domestic Gross

Los Angeles, September 12, 2021: While everyone is talking about "Shang-Chi" performing very well at the box office, another Disney release that continues to prove its holding power. In its fifth week in theaters, Ryan Reynolds fronted "Free Guy" has grossed another $5.8 million and crossed a rare $100M milestone.

The science fiction action-comedy, "Free Guy" has surprised trade analysts with its continuous solid hold at the box office, even after the fifth weekend. The movie fell just 32 percent in its 5th week at the North America box office as it takes its total domestic collection to $101.8 million.



Worldwide, "Free Guy" has grossed around $280 million thus far. Domestically, "Free Guy" becomes the just 7th film to reach the $100 million figure during the covid-19 pandemic. Before "Free Guy" - "Black Widow", "F9", "A Quiet Place 2", "Jungle Cruise", "Shang-Chi", "Godzilla vs. Kong", have already surpassed the milestone figure.

Talking about the India release date of "Free Guy", 20th Century Studios will release the movie on September 17 in English and Hindi.
