Ben Affleck Officially Confirmed To Returning As Batman In Jason Momoa's 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom'

Los Angeles, July 29 - Ben Affleck is officially returning as Batman in Warner Bros' Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and will be reuniting with his Justice League costar Jason Momoa, the latter confirmed via social media.

Momoa, who will play the title role of Aquaman in this DC Superhero film, took to Instagram and revealed the news of Affleck joining this blockbuster film. Momoa also shared a video along with pictures with Affleck. In the video, fans on a Warner Bros. bus tour apparently caught the glimpse that Affleck was there filming with him.



"REUNITED bruce and arthur. love u and miss u Ben WB studio tours just explored the backlot alright. busted on set all great things coming AQUAMAN 2 all my aloha j", Momoa wrote in the caption.

Ben Affleck was last seen in "Zack Snyder's Justice League" which was released on HBO Max last year. The actor, however, previously announced his retirement as Batman in 2019 and has been open about the personal and professional strife that came with the role. He was supposed to take up this iconic role for one last time in Ezra Miller's "The Flash", due on June 23, 2023, and that will also feature Michael Keaton as Batman.

Since he has been confirmed to reprise his role in "Aquaman 2", which will release on March 17, 2023, it will mark his return as Caped Crusader before he possibly says goodbye to this role in "The Flash". "Aquaman 2" also stars Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, and Nicole Kidman.
