Mumbai, August 21 - Tom Cruise's mega-blockbuster Top Gun Maverick is getting ready for its digital release on Amazon Prime Video. The action thriller film has had a sensational box office run so far, grossing approx. $1.40 billion worldwide, including $6 million at the Indian box office.

While the movie continues to mint money at the box office, Paramount Pictures is finally releasing it on digital platforms after nearly three months of release. In India, the movie will be available to rent on Amazon Prime Video on August 23/24 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, "Top Gun Maverick" is the highest-grossing film of 2022 at the worldwide box office. It is also only the second film during the covid-19 pandemic to cross the $1 billion global mark, after "Spider-Man: No Way Home".
