Mumbai, September 18, 2021: Former MTV's Splitsvilla participant, Divya Agarwal is crowned as the first-ever winner of the Bigg Boss OTT version. Hosted by Karan Johar, the finale of the first Bigg Boss OTT was aired on Saturday (September 18) on Voot, where Divya was announced the winner.
Divya beat contestants like Nishant Bhat and Shamita Shetty who have been declared the first and the second runner-ups respectively. With the trophy, Divya also took Rs. 25 lakh prize money home. Considering Bigg Boss OTT's tagline 'Stay Connected,' all the contestants entered the house in connections. However, Divya Agarwal entered and played the game alone.
Ever since the Bigg Boss OTT season started, Divya emerged as a favorite contestant among fans on social media. Her strong opinion and constant clashes with housemates over tasks and house duties made her favorite to win the trophy. She kept making it to the social media trends where fans loved her bold personality and made her the Bigg Boss OTT winner.
Divya Agarwal has been a popular face in reality shows. Apart from participating in Splitvilla, she had earlier won Ace Of Space Season 1 which was hosted by former Bigg Boss contestant Vikas Gupta. And now, she just won her second reality show title.
Meanwhile, the finalists of the Bigg Boss OTT version, will also be a part of Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss season 15 that begins in October on Colors TV. While Bigg Boss OTT lasted for six weeks, Bigg Boss 15 will be much longer and will be tougher for the housemates to make it through.
