Varun Dhawan And Janhvi Kapoor To Lead Director Nitesh Tiwari's 'Bawaal'

Mumbai, March 30 - After months of speculations, the National-award winning filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari is teaming up with producer Sajid Nadiadwala for their next film, titled "Bawaal". The romantic action thriller film will feature Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles for the first time together.

"Bawaal" marks Nitesh Tiwari's second film with Sajid Nadiadwala after their superhit "Chhichhore". The new movie will jointly be produced by NGE Movies and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari's Earthsky Pictures. The makers took to Twitter and announced the new movie and confirmed that it will be hitting worldwide theaters on April 7, 2023.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan will next be seen in a comedy-drama film "Jug Jugg Jeeyo", co-starring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Kiara Advani. The Raj Mehta-directed will be released on 24 June 2022. He also has Amar Kaushik's horror-comedy film "Bhediya", scheduled to release on 25 November later this year.

On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor has "Dostana 2", "Good Luck Jerry", and "Mili" in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Nitesh Tiwari was supposed to co-direct Madhu Mantena's magnum opus "Ramayana", which has been delayed to the next year. He will complete "Bawaal" before starting the preparation of "Ramayana".
