Varun Dhawan And Director Anees Bazmee To Collaborate For A Comedy Entertainer

Mumbai, July 1 - Director Anees Bazmee is on cloud nine, thanks to the blockbuster success of his horror-comedy "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2". The film starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu has made over 260 crores worldwide and is one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of 2022.

According to the latest report, Anees Bazmee will be joining hands with Varun Dhawan for a comedy entertainer. Varun has been a part of some of the hit comedies and romantic comedies like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Judwaa 2, and Coolie No. 1, among others. It is said that Varun and Anees have been in talks for a while now for their maiden collaboration.



Anees will next be directing the long-awaited sequel to "No Entry" with the original male cast reprising their roles. Once he is done with "No Entry 2", the director will reportedly start work on Varun's film. According to Pinkvilla, "They recently met and discussed the idea of teaming up on a comic caper. They will be doing the film once their current commitments are wrapped up".

The director has himself confirmed that he is looking forward to working with Varun Dhawan and details about the project will be made official at the right time. Bazmee said that he and Varun share an emotional bond, and hence, their first film together needs to have a fantastic script.

Varun Dhawan, meanwhile, has multiple films in the pipeline. His "Jugjugg Jeeyo" is currently playing theaters and has had a decent box office run so far with a net collection approx 54 crores in the first week. He will next be seen in the horror-comedy "Bediya", which is scheduled to release in November this year.
