On the second anniversary of the all-time blockbuster movie, URI The Surgical Strike, the team of this War movie has come together once again for a science-fiction superhero film, The Immortal Ashwatthama.

Set around the contemporary times and modeled around Guru Dronacharya's son Ashwatthama, who in Mahabharata gets the curse to be immortal, Vicky Kaushal will play the character of Ashwatthama. Calling The Immortal Ashwatthama the biggest film of his career yet, Vicky Kaushal said it's going to be an exhilarating experience for him to explore technology alongside his craft.

"Ashwatthama is Aditya's dream project and it required the backing of a visionary like Ronnie to bring this spectacle to audiences. It's going to be a new space for me as an actor, exploring the newest form of technology alongside acting. Can’t wait to start the journey soon with this wonderful team", Vicky said as reported in The Indian Express.

Taking to Twitter, Vicky shared the first look of the film, which is written and directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his production banner RSVP Movies.

While the leading actress of the movie is yet to be announced, according to the earlier reports in Mumbai Mirror, Sara Ali Khan has been roped for the female lead.

"The entire movie will be shot over a span of 80-90 days at multiple locations in India and abroad in countries such as Greece, New Zealand, Japan, and Namibia, with plenty of time devoted to post-production as it will have a lot of visual effects for which Aditya has been collaborating with studios in the West. Sara's character has an interesting mythological arc to it. She is expected to sign within a fortnight and will start prepping from early next year".

Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal will be next seen in Shoojit Sircar's Sardar Uddham Singh, which is based on the life of the revolutionary freedom fighter. He will also be seen in Sam, a biopic on War hero Sam Manekshaw.

Stay tuned...
