Three Generations of Deol Family To Star in Apne Sequel

On Sunday (November 29), the veteran actor, Dharmendra announced on Twitter that the sequel of his 2007 release Apne is in the works. The movie starred Dharmendra along with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol in lead roles while Kiron Kher, Shilpa Shetty, and Katrina Kaif played female leads in the film.

Now, the sequel of one of the best family entertainers will see the three generations of the much-loved family. Directed by Anil Sharma, Apne 2 will also star Sunny Deol's son Karan Deol along with the original male cast. The movie will be produced by Deepak Mukut of Soham Rockstar Entertainments and will go on floors in Match 2021 and hit theaters on Diwali later the year.

Talking about the original Apne, it was released in 2007. The story of the film revolves around the story of a father who wants his sons to become boxing champions, a dream that he wasn't able to fulfill. After his younger son gets injured in the ring, his elder son decides to fulfill his father's dream.

Apne was decent at the box office and managed to perform well. Dharmendra, Sunny, and Bobby were also seen together in the Yamla Pagla Deewana series.
