Actor Sushant Singh Rajput died after committing suicide. He has left his loved ones and his colleagues mourning at his untimely demise. Sushant was battling with depression for a long time. After his death, the focus has been shifted on his rumored girlfriend, Jalebi actress Rhea Chakraborty.
Rhea was one of the two persons Sushant called along with his Pavitra Rishta co-star Mahesh Shetty before taking the big decision. However, Sushant and Rhea never confirmed their relationship but they were said to be living together during the lockdown before Rhea moved to a friends’ place.
However, despite not confirming their relationship, their fans always rooted for them and wanted to see them together in a movie. Now, the writer, director Rumy Jafry confirmed that the duo of Sushant and Rhea was all set to do their first film together that was going to be a romantic-comedy.
Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Rumy Jafry revealed, “The script was locked and we were to begin shooting in May. The coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown delayed things. I lost Irrfan Khan, then Rishi Kapoor and Wajid, and now Sushant. I am so disturbed, my father has asked me to return home to Bhopal.”
While we all know that Sushant was a very talented versatile actor, the film was also supposed to reveal his dancing skills. “He was a fantastic dancer and my film would have showcased him in a different light. He loved Shah Rukh Khan’s acting and Govinda’s dance and that’s why I had a full-fledged dance number with Govinda-style moves planned for our mahurat,” he added.
The location and other things were of the film were sorted and the film was set to shot in Mumbai before heading to London and Punjab for the next schedule.
Rumy also said that now, "the film may never make it as it was written keeping Sushant in mind."
The fans of Sushant Singh Rajput will get to see their idol's magic for the last time in the movie 'Dil Bechara' that is scheduled for release this year. The film also stars Sanjana Sanghi and Saif Ali Khan and it is directed by Mukesh Chhabra.
