Mumbai, December 6 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will be returning as Chulbul Pandey in the 4th installment of Dabangg. Over the years, Dabangg has become one of the most loved film franchises. Though Dabangg 3 received criticism for direction and performances, the franchise is still a crowd-puller which makes Salman continue to associate with it.
There have been a lot of talks around Dabangg regarding when it will go on floors and who is going to direct it. In a recent interview, Salman Khan revealed that the movie is currently in the writing stage and will soon be on the ground. Earlier, the superstar hinted at some changes in the upcoming film and said that it will be different from the first three films.
The Sultan actor is undoubtedly the biggest star and crowd puller, but he has been receiving criticism for not doing justice to his talent by picking wrong scripts and underperformed directors. However, his latest release, "Antim: The Final Truth", which is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, is winning praises for Salman who played a Sikh cop. In "Antim", Salman's cop is more realistic with no illogical action and cheesy lines, and fans are liking him for the portrayal of Rajveer Singh.
Meanwhile, Dabangg 4 is just one of the many films Salman Khan is working on at the moment. He is currently shooting for the most-awaited "Tiger 3", which gears up to release in the second half of 2022. The YRF biggie is being directed by Maneesh Sharma and also features Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in the key roles.
After completing "Tiger 3", Salman will commence filming for Sajid Nadiadwala's "Kabhie Eid Kabhi Diwali". Then he will be reuniting with Sooraj Barjatya for a film. It has been a long time since Salman has done a comedy film and the wait will end with Anees Bazmee's film that may start rolling towards the end of 2022. He also has already announced Kick 2 with Nadiadwala under the pipeline.
