Prime Minister Narendra Modi Lauds Pathaan's Housefull Performance In Srinagar

New Delhi, February 8 - Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while speaking on Lok Sabha in reply to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address today, expressed his happiness over the Housefull performance of movie theaters in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" has been performing very well in J&K and theaters are reporting Housefull shows which is truly a historical moment for this part of the country. INOX recently opened Srinagar's first multiplex as a part of the Indian government's development plans for the region which has been under the pump over the years due to terrorism.



PM Modi was talking about the government's development efforts in J&K and said that "after decades, theaters are running Housefull in Srinagar". Though the PM did not mention the movie's name, he was obviously talking about "Pathaan" which is playing a massive part in reviving theaters across the country.

"Pathaan" has truly been a historical blockbuster in Indian cinema and has helped single-screen theaters get back to life after facing the wrath of the covid-19 pandemic. The Siddharth Anand-directed movie has done a boffo business and has already grossed over 850 crores worldwide, including approx. 535 crores gross in India alone.

Vice president of Yash Raj Films, Rohan Malhotra expressed his happiness over Modi's remark about "Pathaan" going Housefull in Srinagar.
