Mumbai, February 8 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" is continuing with its blockbuster run at the box office and has crossed 850 crores gross worldwide. The movie has already broken several records for a Bollywood as well as an Indian movie at the domestic and overseas box office.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" is chasing history as far as the Hindi language collection is concerned. The movie, also starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, has already become the biggest Bollywood grosser domestically, beating "Dangal", and now, it has surpassed mighty "KGF: Chapter 2" to become the second biggest movie in the Hindi language.
Until the third Wednesday (15 days), "Pathaan" minted 436.75 crores net in the original Hindi version, and has beaten "KGF 2" (435 crores) to become the second biggest Hindi grossrer of all-time. "Pathaan" is now behind SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali The Conclusion" which scored 510 crores net.
"Pathaan" will get a free run till February 17 when Kartik Aaryan's "Shehzada" and Marvel Studios' "Ant-Man 3" will release. In these 9 days (before Feb. 17), the movie will target, at least, 50-60 crores net which will take its total collection to around 490 crores net before the two aforementioned films arrive. It will be a tough road ahead from there on but "Pathaan" will still have an outside chance to beat "Baahubali 2" which remains to see.
Meanwhile, the YRF biggie has crossed 450 crores net in all versions with today's collection. It is the only Bollywood and 4th Indian movie to do so.
