Mohit Suri's Malang to get a sequel, confirms producer

Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu starrer Malang is going to get a sequel after the makers confirmed that a sequel is in the works. Mohit Suri directed was released on February 7, 2020. On May 15, Malang has also been released on the OTT platform Netflix.

One of the producers of the film Ankur Garg said in a statement given to IANS that the director Mohit Suri and producer Luv Ranjan have already started working on its sequel and they are definitely coming up with Malang 2.



“We are thankful to the audience who has shown such a phenomenal response to our film Malang after the theatres, now on OTT. While people are enjoying Malang on Netflix, yes, we are coming up with Malang 2. Mohit and Luv are working on the sequel and more details will follow soon,” Ankur Garg said.

Recently, the director of the film Mohit Suri took to Twitter to announce the response his film getting on the digital platform. He wrote, "Malang Is Winning Everyone's Hearts. The musical romantic action thriller 'Malang' was produced by the multiple producers including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, and Jay Shewakramani. The film had a fair amount of success at the box office. Despite not getting great reviews, it earned around ₹ 60 Crores in India.
