Late Rishi Kapoor's Last Film, Sharmaji Namkeen Will Release On His Birth Anniversary In Theaters

The makers of the late actor, Rishi Kapoor's last film, Sharmaji Namkeen have decided to release the movie in theaters on the actor's birth anniversary, 4 September 2021.

Directed by Hitesh Bhatia, the shoot of Sharmaji Namkeen hasn't been completed yet. While the leading actress of the movie, Juhi Chawla will finish her part, veteran actor Paresh Rawal has agreed to complete Rishi Kapoor's portion in the same role.

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar in association with MacGuffin Pictures, this film is a light-hearted coming-of-age story of a lovable 60-year-old man. The makers and team of Sharmaji Namkeen are ready to resume the shoot soon.

Rishi died on 30 April 2020, after a two-year battle with cancer. His last screen appearance was in The Body.
