John Abraham To Reunite With 'Batla House' Director Nikkhil Advani For An Action Drama Film

Mumbai, May 5 - Bollywood star John Abraham is riding high about the mega-blockbuster success of "Pathaan" in which he plays the role of a deadly antagonist Jim. The actor is receiving a lot of praise for his performance which is tempting him to carefully set up his future films.

It was recently reported that John wants to focus on action films going forward for the next couple of years and has turned down many scripts that promised otherwise. After going through several scripts, John has reportedly signed his first film post "Pathaan" success.



According to Peepingmoon.com, the "Dhoom" star will be reuniting with director Nikkhil Advani after their successful "Batla House" (2019). It is said that John will headline Advani's next action drama inspired by true events just like their first collaboration.

The actor will reportedly be playing the role of a rescuer who meets with many challenges in his mission. "Bunty Aur Babli 2" actress Sharvari Wagh has been attached to play the female lead while Abhishek Banerjee will also be playing a key role in the yet-untitled upcoming movie.

Nikkhil Advani's home banner Emmay Entertainment will produce this film with Zee Studios. The shoot for the movie will start after John finishes Shivam Nair's "The Diplomat", which is based on the real-life story of an Indian diplomat's efforts to repatriate an Indian girl from Pakistan. The action star also has Dinesh Vijan's geo-political thriller, "Tehran" scheduled to release in theatres this year.
