Ever since actress Payal Ghosh has accused filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment, she has become the headline of every news channel. She has also filed an FIR against the filmmaker. However, the filmmaker has called all such allegations baseless and many actresses like Taapsee Pannu, Kalki Koechlin, and others supported Anurag in the matter.
Now, the actress has made a bold statement regarding this ongoing matter. She has claimed that she had given an interview to a 'renowned portal' regarding the whole matter with the filmmaker, but the portal was seeking Anurag Kashyap's approval. The actress even appealed that if she was found hanging from the ceiling, people shouldn't consider it as suicide.
"I have given an interview regarding the entire episode on Mr. Kashyap to a renowned portal and the next thing I get to know that they are seeking permission from Mr. Kashyap himself. India, if I am found hanging from the ceiling, remember this. I didn't commit suicide. #MeToo", Payal tweeted.
Last week, Payal Ghosh had leveled serious allegations against Anurag Kashyap and had said that the filmmaker has forced himself on her and tried to molest her in 2014. She also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take strict action against him who, as claimed by her, doesn't respect women and pretends himself as a flagbearer of women empowerment.
