Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal has expressed his gratitude to the Indian Army for inviting him to the Uri Base camp in Kashmir. The actor took to Instagram on Sunday to share photographs clicked over there with Amry officers, soldiers, and local residents. In one of the pictures, Vicky can be seen interacting with the locals who are busy capturing his photo on their mobile phones.
"My heartfelt thanks to the Indian Army for inviting me to the Uri Base Camp, Kashmir. Thank You for giving me an opportunity to spend a lovely day with the locals who were so full of warmth and amazingly talented. It is the biggest honour for me to be in company of our great armed forces. Thank You. Jai Hind!" Vicky wrote on an Instagram post.
On the work front, Vicky will be seen next in "Sardar Udham Singh" which is a biographical film based on the life of a revolutionary freedom fighter, Udham Singh, best known for assassinating Michael O'Dwyer in London to take revenge for the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar. It is directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.
The actor will also be reuniting with his Uri: The Surgical Strike team for a science-fiction superhero film, "The Immortal Ashwatthama". Set around the contemporary times and modeled around Guru Dronacharya's son Ashwatthama, who in Mahabharata gets the curse to be immortal, Vicky Kaushal will play the character of Ashwatthama. It will be directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under his production banner RSVP Movies.
