'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' Becomes The Highest Advance Sales Scorer Bollywood Movie Post Pandemic

Mumbai, September 5 - Director Ayan Mukerji's passion project Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is all set to take the biggest opening for a Bollywood movie in 2022 and has an outside chance to top "Sooryavanshi" to become the biggest Bollywood opener post-pandemic.
The fantasy adventure film based on Ancient Indian Astras has become the biggest Bollywood film post-pandemic in advance booking sales for the opening day, 2 days ahead of the official release. So far, the movie has scored 10 crores in gross advance sales, outscoring Ranveer Singh's "83" (8.14 crores).
The 3D format of the movie is leading the advance booking of the movie with 8.30 crores gross so far while the 2D format has so far generated 86 lakh for all languages. Meanwhile, the IMAX format has crossed 1 crore advance sales for the opening day. It has managed to score 1.05 crores so far.
The movie has so far sold approx. 2,17,000 tickets for all formats and this number may reach over 4 lakh by the time the first show begins.
The biggest opening post-pandemic is currently with Akshay Kumar-fronted "Sooryavanshi" with approx. 26 crores, and at this point in time, "Brahmastra" is flirting to outshine that to become the biggest opener since Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's "War" in 2019.
The movie, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy, to release on September 9.
