Ayushmann Khurrana's Article 15 Will Be Screened In 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival In Shanghai

Ayushmann Khurrana starring Article 15 which is a crime drama film based on Article 15 of the Constitution of India will be screened in The 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) which is scheduled to begin this week from July 25 in Shanghai, China. Article 15 is the second Indian film after Section 375 which will be screened in one of the largest film festivals in East Asia.
Article 15 will be screened on the dates of 25, 26 July, and 1, 2 August.
Directed and co-produced by Anubhav Sinha, Article 15 was theatrically released in India on 28 June 2019. The movie is based on true events including the 2014 Badaun gang-rape allegations, and the 2016 Una flogging incident. It deals with Article 15 of the Constitution of India, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.
Along with Ayushmann Khurrana, the movie also starred Nassar, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Isha Talwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Sayani Gupta in the important roles. Along with co-producing the film with Zee Studios, Anubhav Sinha jointly written the movie with Gaurav Solanki.
On the business front, the movie received positive reviews from both critics and audiences. It grossed ₹94 Crores worldwide and was declared super hit at the box office.
The movie won the Filmfare award in the category of Critics Award for Best Film while Ayushmann Khurrana won the Critics Award for Best Actor.
