Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar had announced in March 2019 that he will mark his digital debut with Amazon Prime Video web series 'The End'. He announced this action series in a special event where he set himself fire to give a sneak peek about the series.
The series was going to begin in December this year but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Akshay Kumar's other commitments, the series will now be on floors in the mid of the year 2021. According to reports, Akshay will finish his pending work before begin shooting for his digital debut series.
Talking to a leading daily, producer Vikram Malhotra said, "The show was to roll in December tentatively, with Akshay joining us in January 2021. But, it has been four months (into the lockdown), and it will be a few more months before normalcy is restored. Akshay, too, has other commitments. So, we are hoping to get into production by the second half of 2021."
He also stated that 'The End' is not a project that can be tweaked and start rolling next month as other projects and films are doing currently. They used this time to improve the content of the series.
Apart from her digital debut series, Akshay Kumar has some movies in the pipeline including YRF’s Prithviraj Chauhan, Bell Bottom, Ekta Kapoor’s next, Bachchan Pandey while his Laxmmi Bomb is ready to premiere on Disney+Hotstar in upcoming days before Sooryavanshi that was scheduled to release in March will now release on Diwali this year in theaters.
