Mumbai, May 21 - The beginning of the month of June will see three Pan-Indian movies clashing at the box office. Akshay Kumar's magnum opus "Prithviraj" will be up against legendary Kamal Haasan's "Vikram" and Adivi Sesh's "Major" on June 3. While "Prithviraj" is a big movie in Hindi, "Vikram" and "Major" will be the first choices of Tamil and Telugu audiences, respectively.
Adivi Sesh recently commented on his movie clashing with the other two at the box office. And now, Akshay Kumar too has his say on the same topic. Speaking straight to the point, Akshay said that anyone's films can't be stopped from releasing whether solo or in a clash. He hoped that all three movies do well at the box office.
"We can't stop anybody from releasing their films, right? I hope every film does business because the business is all connected. We can't exist without the other. It is wrong to think we can't coexist. I cannot live without them, and they can't without us. I always say we have to be united but unfortunately what I see is we are not. We always talk about dividing. nobody talks about uniting but hopefully, we will learn", he said during a group interview while promoting his movie.
Directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, "Prithviraj" is based on Prithviraj Raso. The film tells the story of the Rajput warrior and king Prithviraj Chauhan of the Chauhan dynasty, who clashes with Muhammad Ghori, a ruler from the Ghurid Dynasty who led the Islamic Conquest of Hindustan.
Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films has produced the movie that marks former Miss World, Manushi Chhillar's debut. She plays the role of Prithviraj Chauhan's beloved Sanyogita. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana, and Sakshi Tanwar in important roles. It is scheduled to release on June 3rd in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
