While the country is fighting a pandemic like the Corona virus, some states including Assam and Bihar are suffering due to floods situation along with the COVID-19. In this worsening situation, Akshay Kumar who is known for contributing whenever a natural calamity strike has come forward to help the people of Assam and Bihar during floods.
The actor who is currently busy shooting his next film Bell Bottom in Scotland, has pledged to donate Rs. 1 crore each to Assam and Bihar CM Relief Fund to help them to overcome the current crisis in their respective states.
According to some reports, Akshay Kumar spoke to the CMs of both the states and lend his financial support. Both the CMs have expressed their gratitude and appreciated his gesture that amid so much negativity all around, he could think of the betterment of these states.
It is not the first time Akshay comes forward and has done a good deed. Earlier, he had donated the sum of whopping Rs. 25 crores to PM Cares Fund in March this year to help the country deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, for the assistance of the victims of Cyclone Fani in Odisha and during Assam floods, he had contributed Rs. 1 crore each to CM Relief Funds and help them rebuild their lives. Later in October, he pledged Rs one crore to rehabilitate 25 families struggling with the Bihar floods, and Hindustan had helped him in narrowing down his research. In 2018, he had contributed to the CM Distress Fund towards the flood-ravaged Kerala.
It clearly shows that Akshay Kumar has a heart of gold who never forgets to help those in need during the any kind of crisis happen in the country. He has always put his best foot forward and make sure people get support.
