Akshay Kumar-Fronted Hindi Remake Of 'Soorarai Pottru' To Release In Theaters, Confirms The Producer

Mumbai, August 29 - The makers of the Akshay Kumar-fronted Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru slammed a report stating the movie will take a direct OTT route. It was reported that the film will be released on OTT in web series format, but the makers have denied such reports.

Abundantia Entertainment, which is producing the Hindi remake with Suriya's 2D Entertainment, took to Twitter and clarified that the movie is still in production and will release on the big screen only. The production house was responding to a report from Box Office Worldwide.

The yet-untitled film is directed by Sudha Kongara who also helmed the original Tamil "Soorarai Pottru", starring Suriya. Suriya is also playing a cameo role in the movie that has Radhika Madan playing the female lead role.
