Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn paid tribute to the Indian football legend Chuni Goswami who died on 30 April in Kolkata after a prolonged illness. The actor took to Twitter to share a heartfelt message for the footballer and offered condolences to the family.

Ajay Devgn's upcoming movie 'Maidaan' which is scheduled to release on December 11, is based on football. The story of the film will tell the golden era of Indian football 1952-1962. Chuni Goswami was also part of that era and played for India during the period of 1956-1964.

Ajay Devgn's previous movie Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was the blockbuster at the box office. The film earned nearly 280 Cr India net while it was also successful in the international arena as it earned 36 Cr from the overseas market.
