Ajay Devgn Replaces Dharmendra Sharma To Direct Kaithi Hindi Remake, Bholaa

Mumbai, July 4 - Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has begun working on his 4th directorial venture, "Bholaa". The Hindi remake of the Tamil hit "Kaithi", was supposed to be directed by Dharmendra Sharma, who has now reportedly been replaced with Devgn, who is also producing and playing the lead role in the movie.

Ajay Devgn received praise for his recent directorial, "Runway 34". The movie performed decently in theaters but has been finding appreciation off late from the audience following its premiere on the OTT platform, especially Devgn's direction. He has previously directed "U Me Aur Hum", and "Shivaay".



The actor took to Twitter and shared the news with a photo of himself sitting behind the camera. "It's time to say ACTION again! Bholaa releasing on March 30th, 2023", he wrote.

The reason behind Devgn replacing Dharmendra Sharma is not known yet. Meanwhile, Devgn is set to finish principal photography on his fourth directorial Bholaa by August 20. Tabu is playing the female lead in the movie.



Bholaa is the remake of the Tamil action thriller "Kaithi", directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The original film revolves around a prisoner, played by Karthi, who comes to the aid of the police when they are attacked by a gang of smugglers. In exchange, the police help him reunite with his daughter.

The movie will release on March 30, 2023, in theaters worldwide.
