Mumbai, July 6 - Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi is proving to be the first choice to play gray roles in top stars' films, be it Tamil, Telugu, or even Hindi. The actor, who amazed one and all with his negative roles in "Master" and "Vikram", is reportedly in talks for multiple films to take the lead heroes.
Vijay Sethupathi has reportedly been approached to play one of the main villains in Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rule" and industry trackers say that he has been confirmed for that role. Now, the latest surfaced online that the supremely talented actor will also be acting in Shah Rukh Khan's mega-movie, "Jawan".
"Jawan" is being directed by Tamil director Atlee and it is said that he approached Sethupathi to play baddie against SRK. While the official announcement is yet to be made, Tamil industry trackers have confirmed the development. Interestingly, in a recent media interaction, SRK praised Vijay Sethupathi and called him one of the finest actors he has ever seen.
Produced by Shah Rukh Khan, and Gauri Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, "Jawan" will feature some of the biggest names in Indian cinema. Nayanthara, who recently got married to Vignesh Shivan, is playing the female lead while Deepika Padukone is said to be doing a cameo role. It will also star Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music and he is already winning praise for the film's theme track.
"Jawan" will be released on June 2, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
