Madras Fertilizers Limited is a Public Sector Undertaking company in India under administrative control of the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Madras Fertilizers Limited (MFL) was incorporated in December 1966 as a joint venture between GOI and AMOCO India Incorporation of USA (AMOCO) with GOI holding 51% of the equity share capital.



The company is engaged in the manufacture of ammonia, urea and complex fertilizers at Manali, Chennai. The company is the first Public Sector Undertaking in the Fertilizer industry to get the ISO 9002 certification.

Essential Qualifications:

For General Manager (Plant) : Candidate must completed First class degree in Chemical Engineering.

For General Manager (M&D) : Candidate must completed

1. First Class degree in Agriculture.

2. MBA degree in Marketing (Full Time).

For Company Secretary : Candidate should be a Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

For Safety Officer : Candidate must completed First class degree in any branch of Engineering i.e. B.E. / B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Civil Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or Other Engineering Branches or Technology with diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by Govt. of India.

For Welfare Officer : Candidate must completed First Class degree in Master of Labour Management or Post Graduate degree in Social Work or Social Welfare recognized by Govt. of India / approved by Government Regulatory Bodies.

For Manager (Electrical) : Candidate must completed First Class B.E. / B.Tech Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

For Manager (Instrumentation) :Candidate must completed First Class B.E. / B.Tech Degree in Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

For Dy. Manager (Civil) : Candidate must completed First Class B.E. / B.Tech Degree in Civil Engineering.

For Dy. Manager (Liaison Officer) : Candidate must completed first Class PG Degree in Personnel Management or Public Administration with MBA (Full Time).

For Junior Medical Assistant (Male) : Candidate must completed Diploma in Nursing. Must have their names registered in the State Nursing Council.

For Junior Fireman : Candidate must have completed SSLC. Must have completed Fireman’s Certificate Course from NFSC, Nagpur / State / Central Government Fire Service Institute. The duration of the course shall not be less than Six Months.

OR

Ex-Servicemen who undergone training in Basic Fire Fighting and Operation of Fire Tenders with a Certificate from Defence Services.

For Junior Medical Assistants & Junior Fireman Posts: Written Test

For all other Posts: Interview
