Box Office: 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' Second Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, June 1 - After a good opening, Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's sports romantic drama Mr and Mrs Mahi sees a drop of around 30% on its second day which was with the regular prices. The opening day collection got a boost due to Cinema Lovers Day where ticket prices were Rs. 99/ticket. ## According to the early estimates, Mr and Mrs Mahi scored 4.50-4.75 crores net collection on its second day/first Saturday, showing a decent hold. The total collection is around 11.25+ crores net in 2 days with the first 3-day weekend heading today 17 crores net. ## The second-day collection of Mr and Mrs Mahi could have been its Friday collection or even lower without discounted prices so the hold is pretty good. A 20% jump on Sunday is expected and then, it is all about hold on Monday. ## A good hold on Monday might pave the way for the movie to reach 50 crores net mark which will be a good result for the film. Box Office: Mr and Mrs Mahi Opening Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 31 - Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer sports romantic drama Mr and Mrs Mahi has taken a good start at the domestic box office, thanks to the Cinema Lovers Day which boosted the footfalls due to lower ticket prices. ## The movie witnessed excellent occupancy throughout the day and scored an estimated 6.75-7.25 crores net collection on its opening day. It has comfortably beaten the opening day collection of Yami Gautam-fronted Article 370, the last Bollywood film to get cinema day benefit to score approximately 6 crores net. ## Mr and Mrs Mahi mainly targeted multiplex audiences and thanks to the discounted ticket prices, the movie brought its target audience to the theatres on its opening day. The initial word of mouth for the movie seems to be positive but the real test of it will be after the weekend. ## The competition also does not look threatening to the movie, however, the new release, Savi takes a decent opening of around 1.50 crores net. Mumbai, May 31 - Aamir Khan's production venture Laapataa Ladies has shown incredible consistency at the box office on the lower levels since its digital release and has crossed the 20 crores net mark which once looked like a pipe dream. ## Directed by Kiran Rao, Laapataa Ladies was made available on the digital platform after 8 weeks and since then it has minted over 2.50 crores net collection by showing an upward trend. Mumbai, May 30 - Rajkummar Rao's biographical drama Srikanth has emerged as a surprise winner of the year as the movie has topped 50 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office amid low expectations. ## Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, Srikanth grossed approximately 49.50 crores worldwide, including 47 crores domestically and an estimated 2.50 crores overseas in the first 20 days. It has topped the 50 crores gross mark on its third Thursday (21st day). ## Srikanth is only the second film of Rajkummar Rao to reach the mini milestone of 50 crores worldwide after Stree in a leading role. Mumbai, May 23 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor-fronted epic Ramayana, co-starring Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Sunny Deol, is the biggest Indian film in the making. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the movie hasn't been officially announced yet but has been the talk of the town for various reasons. ## Recently, social media was buzzing with rumours that the production of Ramayana has been stalled due to a legal copyright infringement issue. This is not the first time that the project has been hit by negativity but this has been happening more frequently for the last few weeks. ## While it is true that the movie is having legal issues, the rumours of halting the production are baseless as according to Bollywood Hungama, one of the actors from the movie said that the shooting was not halted for even a day and the team is shooting as he spoke.## Meanwhile, recently, it was reported that Ramayana would now be a two-part project with simultaneous shooting for more than 350 days till December 2025. Netflix Top 10: Laapataa Ladies and Shaitaan In Race To Become Most Watched Indian Film of 2024

Mumbai, May 22 - Aamir Khan's production venture Laapataa Ladies has become the second most-watched Indian movie of 2024 on Netflix and is likely to become the most-watched by the next week by crossing Hrithik Roshan's Fighter which is currently the most-watched title. ## Directed by Kiran Rao, Laapataa Ladies scored 2.6 million views during the week of May 13 - May 19 on Netflix and pushed its total viewership to 13.8 million in 24 days. It was the 5th most-watched non-English film worldwide during the same week. ## The comedy-drama crossed the viewership of Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal which scored 13.6 million views on Netflix. It is expected to remain in the top 10 in the next week as well and if this happens, it will be the most-watched Indian title of 2024 on the streamer. ## Ajay Devgn-fronted Shaitaan will also be looking to become the most-watched Indian film by next week. The movie garnered 3.2 million views during the week of May 13 - May 19 and was the 4th most watched non-English title worldwide on Netflix. ## The total viewership of Shaitaan, directed by Vikas Bahl, has reached 13 million views in 17 days. The movie continues to garner strong viewership and is likely to become the number 1 title by next week, beating Animal and Laapataa Ladies. ##

Mumbai, May 21 - Maddock Films has unveiled the teaser of their next film in the horror-comedy universe titled Munjya. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the movie stars Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, and S. Sathyaraj in key roles. ## The teaser of Munjya is interesting as it features a peculiar creature, an all-new CGI actor who appears to have a special fondness for Malaika Arora's 2011 hit track Munni Badnam Hui in Dabangg. The movie promises another unique experience in the horror-comedy universe which has set the bar high with each film. ## The one-minute-23-second-long teaser begins in a dense forest and offers a glimpse into the world of Munjya, leaving audiences curious about the titular creature's relentless search for a mysterious Munni as he climbs one tree to another. Tiger Shroff To Headline Karan Johar's Big Budget Entertainer

Mumbai, May 20 - Bollywood young action star Tiger Shroff is set to headline filmmaker Karan Johar's big-budget entertainer. The duo has been in talks for a long for a possible collaboration and things are finally falling into place. ## According to the report by Pinkvilla, Tiger and Karan have zeroed in on something very exciting after discussing several scripts over the last couple of years. Karan's Dharma Production will bankroll the film for which the official announcement will be made within a month. ## "It's of course an entertainer to be made on a lavish scale, but, the character is unlike anything Tiger has done over the last 10 years", says the report. The director's name has been kept under wraps for now. ## The film in question will be Tiger's first since the Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, co-starring Akshay Kumar, which was released in April this year. The actor has had a tough time with back-to-back big box office failures and is in desperate need of a success. ## Apart from Karan Johar's film, Tiger Shroff also has Sajid Nadiadwala's Baaghi 4 which is expected to start rolling early next year.
