Mumbai, August 18 - Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor is basking on the glorious success of horror-comedy Stree 2 which rewriting box office history with the phenomenal collection. While this Maddock Films' production venture is going bonkers, there is another potential blockbuster reportedly in the pipeline for the actress. ## According to the report by Times Now, Shraddha Kapoor is set to play the female lead role alongside Hrithik Roshan in the highly-anticipated superhero movie Krrish 4. It is reported that the actress has been in talks for a long time to come on board the film and things are finally falling into place.## Krrish 4 has been on hold for a long time but now it is expected to start rolling next year after Hrithik completes shooting for War 2. Hrithik Roshan To Feature In Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh's 'Alpha': Report

Mumbai, August 18 - Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe is set to have its first female-led movie, titled Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh in the leading roles. The shoot of the movie has already commenced and it is being directed by The Railway Men fame Shiv Rawail. ## According to the report by Dainik Bhaskar, Hrithik Roshan's character of RAW agent Kabir will also be seen in Alpha and he will play the role of Alia Bhatt's mentor. Hrithik is also shooting for War 2, directed by Ayan Mukherji, with Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani in the leading roles. ## While War 2, which is also a part of YRF's Spy Universe, is scheduled to be released on August 14, 2025, it is not yet clear when will Alpha hit the big screen. War 2, however, is expected to be the next film in the Spy Universe as indicated in the post-credit scene of Tiger 3, released last year.## Meanwhile, the shoot of War 2 is reportedly delayed due to the on-set injury of Jr. NTR who is making his Bollywood debut with this biggie. Box Office: 'Stree 2' Scores An Excellent First Saturday (Early Estimates)

Mumbai, August 17 - Amid the struggle of other films, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror-comedy Stree 2 is turning out to be an unstoppable force at the box office, already one of the biggest grossers for the talent involved. ## After the sensational first 2 days, the Amar Kaushik's directorial blockbuster scored a huge first Saturday, crossing the 40 crores net mark for the second time in its short run so far. According to the early estimates, Stree 2 scored in the range of 43-45 crores net collection on its third day. ## The film's total collection after three days (including previews) is around 135 crores net, which already makes it the 3rd biggest Bollywood grosser of the year. Stree 2 is expected to breach the 50 crores net mark on Sunday and then follow it with a rocking collection on Monday which is the national holiday due to Raksha Bandhan. ## Considering the trend, Stree 2 is expected to score 215+ crores net over the 5-day opening weekend. Mumbai, August 15 - Amid the box office juggernaut of Stree 2, Akshay Kumar-fronted comedy drama Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham-starrer action drama Vedaa were battling it out to come second and it is the latter one which won the race by a fair margin.## According to the early estimates, the John Abraham-led scored in the range of 6.50-7 crores net on its opening day. It is a fair opening considering a 3-way clash. It was always going to be difficult for the movie to score due to Stree 2 which was easily the first choice of the moviegoers but Vedaa did decently overcome that challenge.## The occupancy of Vedaa showed improvement throughout the opening day, especially post-noon shows. The opening of the film is above the projections by a decent margin which can be seen as a good sign. The initial word of mouth seems to be mixed and it needs to be seen how it fairs in the coming days.## Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein showed a significant improvement over the actor's last movie Sarfira but the overall opening remained low to the standard of Akshay who has continuously delivered very good starts at the box office.## According to the early estimates, the comedy-drama scored in the range of 5 crores net on its first day which is in sync with projections. Box Office: 'Laila Majnu' Re-Release Outgross Its Original Run In 5 Days

Mumbai, August 13 - The re-release box office collection of romantic drama Laila Majnu has outgrossed its original run in the flat 5 days, scoring a big achievement amid the new release duds over the last couple of weeks. ## The Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary-starrer heartbreaking tale of romance has scored an estimated 75+ lakh on its 5th day (Tuesday) which takes its total re-release collection to over 3.60 crores gross in 5 days. The movie had grossed an estimated 3.20 crores in its lifetime original run. ## The day 5 collection of Laila Majnu's re-release is bigger than day 4 (Monday) and day 2 (Saturday) which is excellent. At first, it looked like the movie would run out of time to beat its original run due to the arrival of new releases on August 15 but it did unthinkable to achieve the feat.## The movie is trending much better than anticipated as it went almost unnoticed during its original run back in 2018. Shraddha Kapoor's 'Stree 2' Scores Biggest Advance Booking of 2024 In Hindi

Mumbai, August 13 - Maddock Films' horror-comedy Stree 2 is a one-horse race in the much-talked-about clash with Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa on August 15.## Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, Stree 2 is looking at a massive opening at the box office and easily the biggest of 2024 for a Bollywood title after the record-breaking pre-sales of the year for any movie in the Hindi version.## The Amar Kaushik's directorial has beaten Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD (8.65 crores gross) and Hrithik Roshan's Fighter (8.40 crores) to score the biggest opening day booking of 2024 in Hindi. As of 9 PM on August 13, the total opening day (excluding previews) pre-sales of Stree 2 is approximately 9 crores gross with over 300K tickets sold (without block seats).## With still more than a day left, Stree 2 is looking to score over 15 crore gross advance sales and it will most likely beat Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki which scored approximately 15.50 crore pre-sales on the opening day. If it does, Stree 2 advance will be the biggest for a Bollywood title since Ranbir Kapoor's Animal. ## The excellent booking of the film has ensured the biggest opening of 2024 in Hindi beating Fighter and Kalki's 22.50 crores net. Mumbai, August 13 - Avinash Tiwary and Triptii Dimri's romantic drama Laila Majnu is having a fantastic re-release run at the domestic box office and is all set to surpass its lifetime original run in the flat 5 days which is an incredible achievement.## The Sajid Ali's directorial movie scored approximately 70 lakh gross collection on its first Monday (4th day) which is almost 3X of the opening day (25 lakh gross). The total collection of the movie is now approximately 2.85 crores gross in 4 days which is already higher than the film's first week total of the original run.## Laila Majnu will outgross its final original run of approximately 3.20 crores gross in India in the flat 5 days which is an outstanding achievement. The movie was a box office success with over 350 crores worldwide, thanks to the equal contribution from overseas markets.## After the release of RRKPK, Karan Johar announced that his next directorial film wouldn't take much time and would be an action thriller film that he is currently scripting. Though it was already known to everyone, the superstar made it official during a recent interaction at the 77th Locarno Film Festival, where he was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award. King will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, and it will also star SRK's daughter Suhana Khan in her big-screen debut. Talking about the movie, the Pathaan star said, "The next film that I am doing is King. I have to start working on it, lose some weight, stretch a little so my groin doesn't get caught while I am doing action". To be produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand's Marflix, King is said to be one of its one-of-a-kind action thrillers in which King Khan is reportedly playing the role of Don. The actor said that he wanted to do this kind of film for many years and finally has the script for the same. "There's a certain kind of film I want to do, where, maybe, it is more age-centric, and I want to try something. For 6-7 years, I have been thinking about it. Mumbai, August 12 - Avinash Tiwary and Triptii Dimri's romantic drama Laila Majnu was recently re-released amid the growing trend and to everyone's surprise, the movie has been doing fantastically at the box office unlike its original run back in 2018.## The Ekta Kapoor-produced heartbreaking tale of romance went unnoticed when it was first released in 2018 and grossed just a little over 3 crores at the Indian box office. However, the film's popularity grew over the years and it found appreciation among the audiences, thanks to television and OTT platforms.## In the 3-day opening weekend of its re-release, Laila Majnu grossed approximately 2.15 crores which is higher than the first weekend of its original run. The movie started with approximately 25 lakh net collection before jumping by 200% on Saturday to 75 lakh net.
