Producer Dinesh Vijan Reacts On Producer Naga Vamsi's Derogatory Comments On Bollywood Industry

Mumbai, January 5 - Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has reacted to the recent comments made by Telugu producer Naga Vamsi on the Bollywood film industry. During a roundtable interaction of filmmakers, Vamsi said that while the South industry is going Pan India, Bollywood filmmakers are making films only for Juhu and Bandra in a seemingly arrogant tone. ## During Sky Force's trailer launch event, producer Dinesh Vijan was asked to react to Vamsi's derogatory remarks. The filmmaker, who has been in top form with back-to-back big successes, made a very dignified response without showing Vamsi and South industry in a bad light. ## Speaking about the same, Vijan said that since the pandemic, there are 5 Hindi films (Pathaan, Jawan, Gadar 2, Animal, and Stree 2) which has crossed 500 crore net collection which didn't exist earlier. He said that just because Bollywood filmmakers don't speak about or brag about those successes, the fact is that we have 5 huge films (since Covid-19). ## Without gunning down the entire South industry, Vijan said that there might be 1 or 2 people who speak like that but whenever he has gone to South, they (South filmmakers) have been very encouraging. Box Office: 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' Re-Release Second Day Collection

Mumbai, January 4 - After a very good opening of around 1.20 crores net collection, Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's 2013 romantic-comedy Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani scores an almost 100% jump on its second day of re-release. ## The Ayan Mukerji's directorial blockbuster had over 750 shows on the first day and with demand rising, the shows doubled on its second day at around 1600 shows. The movie minted an approximately 2.25 crores net collection on Saturday, pushing 2 two-day re-release total of the film to around 3.45 crores. ## The film has good pre-sales for Sunday which should mean another good day at the box office. It is looking for a 6+ crores net opening weekend which will take its total collection (including the original run) to around 195 crores and then break into a 200 crore club by next weekend or before. ## There are a couple of new films releasing next weekend, however, the lack of buzz for them might help YJHD to have an extended re-release run till Republic Day. Varun Dhawan's 'Baby John' Opening Day Box Office Expectations

Mumbai, December 24 - After stealing hearts with romantic and comedy entertainers, Bollywood star Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of his first full-fledged actioner in the form of Baby John which is slated to hit the screens on December 25 on the occasion of Christmas. ## The film, directed by Tamil director Kalees, was easily one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies sometime back but the buzz has dipped for the last few weeks in the euphoria of Pushpa 2 - The Rule which is going great gun at the box office in Hindi. ## The advance booking of Baby John hasn't been on the expected lines but it has still managed to score a decent response with over 100K tickets sold for the opening day. There is also Hollywood Mufasa: The Lion King which has good pre-sales for December 25 in North belt. ## If there weren't the other two movies, Baby John could have easily aimed for a much higher opening as buzz for the movie was there to cash in the opportunity. At this point, an opening in the range of 13-15 crores looks more likely. Mumbai, December 20 - Mega blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule shattered records in the second week in Hindi by a long margin after creating a sensation in the opening week in which it minted a record 425 crores net collection. ## The Allu Arjun-starrer action drama scored almost 200 crores net in the second week, comfortably beating the long-standing record of SS Rajamouli's directorial Baahubali 2 (143.25 crores net). Mumbai, December 19 - The sequel to Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's romantic comedy De De Pyaar De has officially been postponed and will be released on November 14, 2025. ## Directed by Anshul Sharma, De De Pyaar De 2 was supposed to hit the big screen on May 1st, 2025, a date which has now been taken by Devgn's crime thriller Raid 2. The new release date of DDPD2 is exactly a year after Raid 2's original release date of November 14, 2024. ## DDPD 2, produced by T-Series and Luv Films, will see Ajay Devgn reprise his role along with Rakul Preet Singh, who also returns to reprise his character from the first movie released in 2019. R. The movie is to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and the official announcement of the same was made on Wednesday, December 18. ## Announcing the film, the production house unveiled the entire main cast which includes Triptii Dimri as the female lead with Randeep Hooda and Nana Patekar in the prominent roles. A6: Director Atlee Promises Bigger Things In His Next With Salman Khan

Mumbai, December 17 - Director Atlee's next film with superstar Salman Khan has been the talk of the town ever since the news about the movie was revealed sometime back. It is the director's first film since the mega-blockbuster success of superstar Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Jawan last year.## Tentatively called A6, the upcoming movie marks the maiden collaboration of Atlee with Salman and the director has planned bigger things for the same.
