Dhurandhar Box Office: Ranveer Singh-Starrer Sets Box Office On Fire With Biggest Second Friday Collection

Mumbai, December 12 - Bollywood star Ranveer Singh-fronted Dhurandhar is eyeing history as it continues its phenomenal box office run into the second weekend. After an excellent first week, Aditya Dhar's directorial has taken a giant leap and is now delivering the biggest second Friday ever at the Hindi box office, as per early estimates.

The spy action thriller began its second Friday on a good note but witnessed massive growth as the day progressed, with evening and night occupancies turning sensational across major circuits. According to early trends, the film is set to collect 31-33 crores net, surpassing Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, which earned 27 crores on its second Friday.

Dhurandhar has grown from strength to strength in the first week, maintaining a sensational hold and consistency during the working days. The film recorded no drop from Monday to Thursday, laying a strong platform for a thunderous second weekend. Its total domestic net collection stands at 238+ crores through the second Friday.

Advance bookings for Saturday and Sunday are excellent, though the scale of the jump will determine whether the film can secure the biggest second weekend of all time. As of now, it is pacing towards a massive 120+ crores net second weekend, not too far behind Pushpa 2's 127 crore record.

Dhurandhar faces virtually no competition this week — and even if there were any, it wouldn't have mattered much with the kind of phenomena it has turned into. Next week brings James Cameron's Avatar: Fire & Ash, followed by Kartik Aaryan's TMMTMTTM during Christmas, which will take away some screens. However, with exceptional word of mouth, Dhurandhar is expected to make the most of the Christmas and New Year holiday period despite the competition.
